Love your decorating , its Halloween but classic. I never really decorate for Halloween because it always looked like clutter to me, But I love this. I love the crows. Is your witches hat just a costume hat or what is it made of I can't see it very well . But love that idea. And that could be frugal decorating to use a costume hat.
I love all of your displays! Looks great, and I'm sure the fam is enjoying it too! :) Your crows are great. I finally found some at JoAnns, since my Dollar Tree didn't have any! They were on sale for $2 and change. Your black and white looks amazing!
Joy, it's great! But I think you forgot a particular creepy crawly critter: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/paper-mice?lnc=fcb5d918a92ee010VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&rsc=taxonomylist_holiday_halloween-decorations
Joy, once again I am astonished! I did a post today that features some projects inspired by you... http://www.homebodyholly.com/2008/10/ode-to-joy.html
Dang....everyone has crows but me I think. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Dollar tree says they only send them to the big stores and ours is not a big one. Oh rats!
I just want to say, I LOVE your blog and I'm always amazed on your creations. You give me so many ideas that I don't know what to do with. Thanks for sharing so much with us!
Hi Joy! I've never seen anyone who can pull of "creepy" and "elegant" combined! Just love your creations! You have an excellent eye for detail!!!!! Have a great day - Sincerely, Jeannette
Joy~I want to bring my kids over for Halloween! What a perfectly spooky, yet classy layout! I absolutely love those little bottles of witches potions~did you buy or make? And I just figured out that you have 2 mantles~I was like whaa..she already changed it? lol Melissa
Joy I love all of your decorating it looks so classy and your house is wonderful. I always enjoy your blog it's great! Thanks for all the inspiration. julie
Joy I can't stand it. You outdo yourself every time and I love it. I love the crows!!! Oh my gosh girlfriend, you do have a way with those birds....I love those candle holder thingy's you just got recently, love the black framed mirror, oh shoot I love it all! It's wonderful Blessings, Debbie
I love it all but my most favorite is the table with the tall candle sticks you made with the leaves going up them. Everything on that table looks great!!! I don't know where you keep everything either.
Joy, I just love your stacked suitcases so much I can't stand it! Where did you get them? I find lots and lots of stuff at garage sales and thrift store, but only once have I found a neat smallish suitcase in all these years! Any suggestions for where to pick these up? Mona
Hi Joy, I was searching for an email link to email you. I copied one of your ideas that was done FOREVER ago, but am just now getting a post up about it. Just wanted to give credit where it was due and let you know that I linked to you on today's post. Thanks for all of your wonderful inspiration. God bless, Anna

How adorable. I don't really decorate for Halloween now that the kids are grown but I do for fall. (I'm now starting to rethink this a teeny tiny bit!!!)
How fun! I have a question, Miss Joy, I have a table that is painted white...I want to paint it black...how should I go about this???do I spray paint...regular paint...I am scared to touch this piece of furniture. -Sandy Toes
Wow Joy, you have definitely put your creative stamp on Halloween. Who needs candy, your decorations are a real treat for the eyes! Crows are so hard to find where I live. I found one at Michaels and it was..get this..16 dollars! I don't want them that bad.
I have to ask, how do you keep the kitty from running off with a crow? My cats go nuts for anything with a feather on it. I have a feathery SpongeBob Squarepants pen that I have to tuck securely in my purse because they know he's in there and try to steal him.
I just saw this vintage halloween paper doll and thought of all of you halloween paper crafters out there - http://web.archive.org/web/20020818172304/paperdollparade.com/hader/hadmarymainpage.jpg
Thank you for answering my question..I printed your comment so I can take it to the store and get what you suggested! You are the queen of painting...thanks for the help! -Sandy Toes
Hi Joy! As usual, your decorating is amazing. I love how everything looks, and you gotta love the crows & white pumpkins.
I finally got my blog going, so I hope you can come by and visit me. I have yet to paint all those frames I inherited, but you'll be the firs to know when I do.
i second wanting to know where you store all your stuff. That is my biggest problem 2400sf and no real storage space at my home. The decorating looks fabulous!!!
Joy, Love the classy look of your Halloween decorating. I went to Dollar Tree today to look for crows, but none were to be found, you know what they say, 'those who snooze, lose'! :0) Carol * in Oklahoma
HI Joy , so sorry I missed your question , my email notification doesn't work well... the pine is actually pine flooring , tounge and grooves , I believe it is for cottages ,it was very cheap and I found it at home depot. The pine does nic and dent , mostly dents , I did antique it a bit before I stained it , you can see the screw holes they look like nail holes , I like the rustic look of it so I don't mind the distressing. I use a brown crayon to fill in any deep nics that show the light pine . I am very happy with the floor . Thanks for stopping by my blog, I love yours , that chalk board is pure beauty , I want another one. Chris
I love your Halloween decorations. So classy and scary at the same time, you put Martha Stewart to shame! :-) When I saw your post I thought, this is how I want to decorate my home. Thanks for the inspiration!
i see the suitcases in the corner..wow...that is so funny. i have had lots of comments on mine as well!:) my latest one..someone asked me if i was ready to move in case the economy crashed...hmm... anyway, love the ideas here!
OMG! Your decorations are absolutely FABULOUSO! I'm curious...do you think the styrofoam balls with the leaves glued on would survive outside? I was thinking of doing something similar to stick in my window boxes. I'd probably need to get large styrofoam balls and lots of leaves to make an impact...
I am truly humbled and thrilled that you read and comment on my blog. If you have a question for me, please feel free to email me. Thank you so very much for inspiring me to be more creative!
where did you get the crows? I love 'em!!
