Just had to tell you that you inspired my 20 yr old daughter & I to go to some throft stores yesterday. Unfortunately we didn't find anything, but we wondered if you would have found anything if you were with us.

Yep that was my first thought tin foil and I remember I would take my nail and slide across it to make it even shiny....gosh love your winter look...you actually could still have it and just replace the green for red in February but I know you knew that...What am I thinking your the pro I am student...hehehe

Everything looks great. I found some faux mercury glass at Michaels a few weeks ago. Apparently they think it's Christmas clearance. OK by me. Mimi

ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and love it! Thanks for all the cute ideas. I have a question for you. I've been wanting to paint my dining room table black for sometime now. It's just a basic pine wood table, with polyurethane on it, but no stain. Do you think I should just sand it to get the polyurethane off, or should I use something to strip it off? Also, would you spray paint it, or use a brush?
