Let It Snow

One of the great things about living in an area with all four seasons is that when you take down the Christmas decorations you can redecorate with winter decor. I have a few plastic bins filled with snowflakes and snowmen that I pull out when Christmas is over. I love to pile snowflakes onto my mantles and shelves,
the more the better! Most of these came from the dollar store or were heavily discounted after Christmas (the best time to buy decorations!).It's lovely to have a little sparkle in my home after the big holidays are through.

  10. I do the same thing. My snowmen don't come out until after Christmas. I'm never quite ready to just "do away" with the festive feel of Christmas. PAM

  11. Oh, I just love all your snowflake/winter vignettes!!! Like you, I live in a four-season part of the county, and usually decorate this time of year with my snowman. But the snowflakes . . . I love em!

I'm planning on copying what you've done as closely as possible! LOL I have several of the DT snowflakes you used, too.

Thanks so much for such an inspiring post.

  17. Love your collection of snowflakes! I live in Florida and we have had unusual (record breaking) cold, so I am keeping my "snow" around until after the weekend. We bought three dimensional snowflakes that have a crystal dangling from them in dollar store this year. We loved them, looked in every store before Christmas to find more but they were sold out. Enjoy your beautiful winter mantel and snowlakes.

  21. Just beautiful!

I live in South FL and I display snowmen throughout the month of January. When others come to my home and see my snowmen they always tell me Christmas is over and I say well winter isn't. It is hard living where you don't have seasons and people don't get it so it is nice to see that I am not the only one that decorates for winter.

  23. I love your blog! Now a self admited blog addict, your's was the very first blog I drooled over and began to follow. You inspire me on so many levels.

I am wondering were you purchase the silver glittery letters I see in your decorating. I love the "snow" garland.

    Thanks for the fun!

  24. Wow Joy...I just realized your son was at my house over the holidays playing rock band with my daughter and some friends...my husband had to take a chair into the toy room for him to sit in because of his legs. I can't believe how lucky he was and how well he gets around. So happy to hear he will get to fill his mission.

I've looked through your blog and love all you great ideas...you are very talented.
