Seasonal Decorating

When I think about decorating for the seasons naturally what comes to mind are the jewel tones of fall, the reds and greens of Christmas, and the pastels of spring and Easter. But as I looked around my home I've noticed that the greens of summer have infiltrated my home in the form of faux plants and moss balls, with a few florals thrown in for good measure.
Is your home sporting the greens of the season?

  7. Lisa---
The ferns are fake! They came from the Dollar store. I simply cut the plant apart and placed them inside the jars with a little moss. Even some of the moss rocks came from the Dollar store. How's that for decorating on the cheap. I love that place!

  9. The end of summer is always the hardest time to decorate for me. I like to change my decorations with the seasons/holidays and when I take down the patriotic decor I always feel like the house looks so empty waiting for the fall. My few summer decorations just don't feel like enough! I wish I had rose bushes to bring in fresh flowers...

  10. Yes, I decorate, but it isn't greens I pull out--its blues and whites for a more "marine" type of decoration. Summer always makes me think of the seashore. So I have seashells here and there, sailing ship bookends, etc. Blue books, etc.

I do love the apothecary jars with the ferns! I'll have to take a look the next time I'm out...
