The trend this year seems to be skulls of glitter.
I had this little skull in the bottom of my Halloween box. He was calling for a glittery makeover.
However, I didn't feel like cleaning up glitter
for days (or years) to come.
So I gave him a coat of sterling silver spray paint. Once the paint was dry,
I coated him with silver glitter spray. Now he looks like a new man!
He has the look of glitter without all the mess.

ReplyDeleteHe looks so much more a live now. It's like a breath of fresh air.

Oooh spooky! I love the glitter too but I'm initimiated by the mess. I invision three sets of little hands getting into it without me knowing and it literally being everywhere! The silver spray paint is a great alternative.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great solution - glitter is messy!
ReplyDeleteI am 33 and I love all things skull and cross bones this year..
ReplyDeleteand I am not into that kind of thing..ever. So who knows.. a passing trend I hope..lol
I think his smile is more genuine now that he's had a make-over! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteHe looks so much different. Much better!
ReplyDeleteVery cute & a little creepy. It is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like that much more than glitter. I hate cleaning up glitter and seeing speks of it on my husband's face and clothes because something touched something with glitter on it. It NEVER goes away! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteHi Joy! Almost makes me want to get my decorations out! I used to do Halloween but not this year! Love it in the urn, something different from pumpkins. And I agree about glitter all over the place; been there done that, I still sparkle from 5yrs ago!lol What's next!????? Can't wait! Have a great day - Jeannette
ReplyDeleteI like the make over. I decided to try a leaf ball like you made. I posted it on my blog. I like the way it turned out too. It was simple and easy to make.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a new man!!! With a sparkling smile! LOL

ReplyDeleteHere's an idea for you: get a small fake mouse and have the mouse coming out of the eye socket. That will add some more Halloween scare!
ReplyDeletethat's pretty cool looking
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! It looks great. I am like you...I love the glitter not the clean-up!

ReplyDeleteThis looks fabulous! You had asked me where I found my glitter skull and I found him at Marshalls for 6.99 I think. I love this idea...and you're right, you won't be cleaning up glitter for years like I will be!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I've been wanting to do the glitter skulls but I was wary of the mess. Maybe I'll try this instead.
