Movable Ambiance

A few years ago I found this faux fireplace at the thrift store. It has been such a fun piece of "furniture". It stood in our living room for a long time, which confused people because they would see it in one spot in the room and the next time they visited it would be on another wall. It's also been in the downstairs hall and in our master bedroom. I've used it several times to decorate for weddings and church functions. It's amazing how even a faux fireplace can give a room a lot of ambience.

It's been on the move again.
It may have found a new home in the guest bedroom.

  7. That's hysterical that it does cameo's all over the house. One day when we're solvent and not renters we'll have to get one of these.

  9. When we bought our house, we got two beautiful faux fireplaces with it. They really are a wonderful accent. One actually sits on a hearth and the other is a corner fireplace, so we're kind of limited in moving them. But they aer so lovely...especially at Christmas.

  14. Ooooh! I want one! Just something else to add to my list. LOL We don't have a fireplace in our home (they were going to take away a bank of windows to put one in and I said no thanks), so it would be nice to have something "fake" like that. It also would solve the Christmas stocking dilemma.
