I love the feeling of being home! I truly enjoy being surrounded by the people I love and the things that make me happy. I am passionate about finding joy in my home---which for me has a double meaning. My home is where I find comfort and discover who I am by using my talents and abilities.
I'm an avid thrift store shopper and collector. I love to create, re-purpose, design, re-invent and build all sorts of things.
I am passionate about helping others find the joy in their homes that I do in mine. And I believe that it doesn't take a lot of cash to do it.

at the side of my home. It isn't seen by many so I like to think of it as my secret garden.
I've decorated it with odd little pieces of yard art. Because of it's less than ideal location, plants struggle to grow and what plants do grow become dinner to the snails that live there. But it is still a favorite little spot of mine, to sit and ponder, or simply to walk through and smile.
For the longest time my neighbour had the most gorgeous geraniums and yellow something-or-others in a regular flower bed on the ground. I asked her her secret one day, she said, "They're fake!" I laughed so hard, she had done such an amazing job of 'spreading' them out, even up close they looked perfectly real.
I have two shady spots and they are defintely about 10 degrees cooler than the full sun spots. One is in the back, back of our yard, and not as convenient as the second. That one is on the side of my house and the house is actually providing the shade here. This is where my dog lays ~ between the central air conditioning units.
I love it, what a great idea! I have a large tree right out front of my house and it gives off so much shade, I have to keep this idea in mind. Thanks for sharing!
Your garden is looking very beautiful. One can say that your garden is now in ideal condition. I have to renovate my garden. I must try to follow your garden.
Is it something real ? Such a beautiful collection and fantastically decorated. I would love to reform my place with this theme. I missed your blog, while i was decorating my recently bought bedroom furniture, garden furniture and plants. Its the time i should refine it. Thanks for such a lovely collection.
Nice little shady spot and it seems your plants are doing pretty good. Here where I am living I had a few problems to get plants growing well in the shady spot that I made a raised flowerbed with rocks. There are still certain times of the day that the sun come through pretty hot and would burn those plants they like the shade and so it took me some experimenting and changing of plants and to relocate certain plants until everything seems to be doing good now. adding some garden decor like you did, everybody should do. It sets some really nice accents to the plants.
