Words of Appreciation

A week ago I stood in the store holding two pieces of wood and thinking about what I could blog. Is that strange?!? I probably should have been thinking of what to make for dinner, but thinking about blogging is so much more fun. I thought about making a quick, inexpensive, and easy project that anyone could do. I thought it would be exciting to see what others would do with my idea. I could have never, ever, predicted the outcome of such a small project!
It has been thrilling to see you take my small idea and personalize it and improve upon it. And it has been so incredibly wonderful to be able to meet new friends. You have been so sweet and kind and.....think of any positive adjective and that would describe all of you. I stand in awe of your talent and your warmth and kindness. I am humbled. You have motivated me, encouraged me, and inspired me. The person I am today, is a much better person than the person standing in the store last week holding two pieces of wood. And for that, I cannot thank you enough!
I want you to know just how much I appreciate ALL of you!!!! Those of you who leave comments and those of you who don't---you have all blessed my life more than you will ever know! Thank you!

Now, if you want to see more incredible versions of my little idea, so visit Antoinette and Christy and be sure to leave them with some sweet words.
Then for a whole new twist on the idea (that I am so going to copy!!!) go visit Rae.

See ya, Love ya, Bye!

Joy you are so very kind hearted and talented.... I can see you now standing in the store, hehe. I find myself searching for things.... No longer to make my house pretty but to share with my blog buddies... too funny. We are two peas in a pod...

Joy,
Your blog is really an inspiration to me! Before blogging I rarely went to a thrift store or garage sale. Now I want to go all the time.

I have found myself looking at stuff in a new way and wondering what I could do to 'fix' something up!

It's fun...and keeps me from spending tons of money.

Keep up the good work! I really enjoy your blog and projects.

It's so fun to come here and see what you have done, and then go out and try to reproduce it. No need to buy thing already completed when there are so many ways to do it on your own for cheaper and cuter. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

I am just humbled by you and so many out there....muses everywhere! Inspiration galore. Now with the burlap...of course when you by it..it has that smell..but it tends to air out. That OR I got use to the smell rofl...my family members havnt complained though. I know some people..my Mom included..say it is hard to work with but I didn't think so. I used my sewing machine and did not have any problems. No shedding etc. I have been wanting to do dark brown burlap curtains in my family room but I think I am too lazy. I have 5 windows and one is over 8 ft. Don't want to go down that road. Joy thanks sooo much for coming and visiting me and for your daily inspiration! xoxo, cherry

I look forward to coming here- after I leave, you stir something up and I have to go create! Seriously! I was standing in the thrift store yesterday looking at those chandelier globes wondering if I should buy some to make cloches! Coming here is like opening a new magazine every time! (and while I was worrying about making cloches in the thrift store I was not concerned as to what was for dinner!)

You are so sweet. I love all of your projects and in all your business your still take time to make comments on others blogs. I love your Thank you sing. Is it made from one of those page number things for the hymns? I have no idea what they are called.

Joy said...

My thank you sign is a piece that was used in church's for displaying the hymnal page numbers. It's made to stand on it's own. I think I paid $2 for it at a thrift store. I painted it black. And that's my attempt at fancy writing since I was too lazy to use the computer.

I am not sure if you have already seen this blog, but I just want you to know that it looks like you are not the only one addicted to black spray paint. I thought you might like a support group. Here is the blog address:
