In a Minute

I'm such a mom! You know how when you're in the middle of things and one of your children asks you for something and you automatically reply, "In a minute" (am I the only mom that does this?!?). And then you continue to do the ninety million things you were in the middle of doing. And that minute turns into several minutes....

Well that's my life right now. I WILL give you some ideas for inexpensive gift ideas......in a minute.

Rofl...minutes equals about an hr. here. It is ok....just take a deep breath and do what your heart tells ya. In the end what gets done does..and what doesn't can wait! Hugs, cherry

I feel ya Joy! I find myself saying this way too much to my little kiddos. You do what needs to be done on your end...we can wait.

No fair! That only works with kids! You know we live an instant gratification society! I can't wait for your ideas! Karen

Those minutes fly by so fast as we are busy doing the other ninety million things... from one with the empty nest syndrone 'Listen to your heart.' Those voices leave too quickly.
My daughter was a big fan and supporter of your blog until she listened to her heart and voices of her four little ones. Home Sweet Hideaway has taken a leave of absence for now.

Hugs to you this busy Christmas season. We love your wonderful talent and the JOY you share. Take care of you and yours first...we can wait.

Oh, I'm so glad someone else does that. My middle child will eventually say "MOM, YOU FORGOT TO GET ME MY DRINK!!" LOL!!

Well, I am glad to hear I am not the only one that does that!

And we use time outs around here, and sometimes when it is quiet and she is in time out, we forget she is still sitting there patiently waiting for us to let her up. Doesn't happen often, but in a busy house, it does happen...And then I feel guilty...but I guess I could say that she is learning patience. Poor kid!

LOL!!! That is so true at my house. My poor kiddos. I do get around to everything eventually, though. So I have plenty of patience waiting to see your fun stuff!

So funny :) I think that is all of our responses. My other response without thinking is no. :)

Hilarious! This is me exactly. My poor little chickadee's. I end up forgetting and then they have to come remind me what it was I was going to do for them.

For the longest time my daughter(8) had no concept of time because I'm always saying that. She thought a minute meant at least an hour.
Have a great weekend.

When I say that, my son stands there and counts to 60 and then he says ok your minute is up come on. :)

Two days ago I realized that I must say that too much, when my 2-year-old responded to my request with "In a minute."

That's my favorite mom line!! Yes I'm hanging my head in shame...... :) Trying to get a project done that involves my big ol' tv hutch and an old door... Man I hope it turns out.. ;)

Hey at least you give yourself a minute! I always say "one sec" and that doesn't keep them at bay for very long, lol. Then I look like a real meanie 10 minutes later. I'll have to remedy that one!

Happy Holidays!

There just doesn't seem to be enough minutes in the day does there? Between homework, temper tantrums and poopy diapers I do good to get one post a week done! Have a blessed weekend!

I'm going to respond as I wished my children would..."Mommy dear, take your time. I understand all that you do takes energy, emotion, resources and I appreciate YOU. So I'll be over here in the corner quietly solving world problems. When you feel you have the time, I'd be happy to see you. Smooches. Don't rush."

It must be a mom thing. The only problem that I have-I never seem to have any more minutes! I run out of them or lose them-along with my mind!
Ahh-Chritmas time!

I've had to start saying "In a MOMENT" because my 6 year old tells me when a minute is over.

So funny! Happens to all of us Moms hun! Funny story~ my almost 18 month old has seen me hold up a finger and say 'just one minute' to Bryce so now when I say 'one minute' to her she holds up her little tiny pointer finger and smiles. So yes, others do it, too!!! See you in 'one minute' ;) I crack myself up!!!
Happy Merry December~ Les
