"My" thrift store has been a bit boring lately, but look at the treasures I've found as I've ventured into the thrift stores of nearby cities.Am I the only one who wonders why people give away cloches and ironstone?
I can't figure out why, but I'm sure glad they do!

great finds!
HI There!
Just ran across your blog and it made me laugh! I wonder too why people get rid of the things they do...ironstone??? cloches??? are they nuts??? Thank goodnes they do though right?? Sure is fun to go hunting for treasures!
Take Care,
Beth
I know...but I gave one to a girlfriend once for a gift and I had to tell her what to do with it! They must not know either!!
That cloche is AWESOME.
Joy...I have always wondered why people give up such good things to goodwill and thrift stores!
But I am sure glad that they do!
FABULOUS finds! My stores have been lame lately also....maybe I need to venture out further.....
LOVE your cloches...that is where I have found all of mine...I can't imagine getting rid of them!
Wow I can't believe those lucky finds. I'd like to find a new cloche let alone a used one for a good price.
I'm on the hunt for a cloche, and I'm bound and determined to find one at a thrift store!
I never find great things like that. But I am small-town Utah so there are not as many options.
That's just wrong!! My stores never have good stuff like this! "Lucky!" (said in my best Napolean Dynamite voice:)
some goodies you have there joy...nope don't understand why someone would get rid of those nice wonderful things...
I agree they must not know what to do with them. I found one last Friday too.
I dont care why they get rid of it either...as long as I get my hands on it before someone else does!! :) Thats all that matters! hehe
Wow, Jackpot! I've been thinking about branching out from my usual thrift store circuit, here's hoping I'm as successful as you were!
HOly smokes girl....you hit the motherload. Now go forth and create vignettes. I need inspiration! Thanks soooo much for coming and giving me some insight into my mantle dilemma. I will try to do the sketch plan..I am NOT much of a drawer though. cherry
Good job!!
Pretty! Pretty!
Lucky finds! I wonder what these people have in their homes that give away great things....
All I can say is WOW! Wish I had some of those finds. The best I could do was a .99 Scrabble game and some vintage glass ornaments. Jackie
Can you belive I don't even have a cloche? I think I'm the only one without one! I'm having a givaway over at my blog...so come by and enter...it's a biggie.
here's a better question....
Why does "my" thriftstore never have cloches?!!!!!
fun giveaway goin' on over at my place ;)
You are one lucky lady. I see ironstone all the time, but I have NEVER seen a cloche in any of the thrift stores I frequent.
I think it's time for me to go back to the Thrift Store...just maybe.......
i am loving the pics on your blog. :) so pretty!
i do have a question. i know i am dumb but how do you know if its ironstone? i see white dishes like that(similar) all the time around here . and have found cloches. but the "ironstone dishes" i am not sure if its the real thing.
I know just what you mean. How can people give up such treasure? You got some great stuff. Mimi
Wow, what finds! I rarely find anything good when I thrift...but I still try!

I been on ebay looking for cloches. You are SOOOOO lucky. It is just being in the right place at the right time. I can't wait to see what you do with your new treasures.
Well, I'd say you had a pretty good day at the Thrift Stores.
Good for you.
Blessings,
Sher
They obviously don't see the potential in those things like you do! Oh well, their loss is your wonderful gain!
Lucky you!
Wonderful STUFF! Yep, it's amazing what people get rid of.
I made 2 cloches myself...check out my post today...the combined TABLESCAPE and TRASH TO TREASURE post.

I'd say you hit the jackpot. What great finds. I am now a thrift store convert!
Big score on the cloche! I was all excited to find a cheese dome on Friday at Goodwill!
Looks like you got some other good stuff, too.
Wow...how fun!

I visited yesterday for a first time visit. I enjoyed what you do. I also love thrift store shopping. We have a local thrift store too. I shared my finds on my blog too. It is always fun to find a great deal.
You lucky girl. Cloches are so hard to find 2nd hand. Way to go!!! And I LOVE your silver collection in post below...just lovely! : )
Can I just tell you how lucky you are? The only place I've seen a cloche is a new one at Pier 1. Love your haul!
Wow, I need to come to your thrift stores.
I'm loving your blog. Over the weekend spent a good amount of time viewing your archives and got some great ideas. Thanks and keep decorating!
I have been inspired to do my thrift store Thursday shopping again. Can't wait to see if I find as many great items as you seem to discover! ! Thanks for the inspirations!
Love your treasures. I wish people around here DID give away cloches and ironstone. (Maybe everybody in my neck of the woods is into thrift store treasure-hunting like me). I still keep my eyes open... hoping.
Oh my! I don't usually find such wonderful finds. They are beautiful.
Okay where do you live? Joking, I love it all. I have yet to find a cloche anywhere, I buckled down and bought one for $25 they are not cheap. Love it all Joy!
