I've managed to create balance by placing large objects like plants and candles on each side of the mirror. Yet, it still seemed like it needed a bit more.
The other day as I sat contemplating my design dilemma, it occurred to me that the solution was right in front of my face.
A little tweaking and I had my solution. I love the layers and balance, as well as the repetition of design from across the room. I even like the look of the hanging wire. It helps to tie the two frames together.

I love that idea. I have seen a few great frames at Goodwill that didn't have glass in them. You can usually pick them up for a $1 or $2. Add a little paint and they would match your decor! Love it. I will keep that idea in mind for my own home!

I did a post the first of the week about "balance" and "scale", both of which I know nothing about. it's just that when something is off, you usually know it...but not always know how to fix it. You did great!!

What a fabulous idea! I LOVE the outcome. It's a match made in heaven now, just with another picture frame! We have to think outside the box all the time to come up with solutions that are cost effective (cheap)! Great job!
