Address It

I found these galvanized planters at the thrift store for three dollars each. I like the galvanized finish, but I wanted them to look a bit more formal.
So out came the black spray paint.
Now they match the other decor on my front porch.
Just for fun I put our house number on the front of each using a permanent paint pen. They're the perfect pots for beautiful boxwoods.

Those are really lovely; the #'s are a fantastic idea too (and you've got a good hand with the pen).

They look perfectly new and bring such joy to your porch. The numbers are a get addition. Do you use a stencil for those or do it free-hand?

Thanks for sharing.

great idea. they look awesome!!
just out of curiosity, what brand of paint and finish do you use...I always stand in the store contemplating -- then walk away empty handed because I don't know what's best.

Cute! I've been thinking about doing something similar since our numbers aren't easily read from the street.

Joy, those are absolutely stunning! I've been scouring yard sales and thrift stores for some new urns for my front porch. But I might start looking for these instead. I love what you have done with them!

you make the most beautiful things. I really enjoy your blog, and tho I don't leave comments every time I visit, I just wanted you to know that you're inspiring. I wish I could find great deals like this at my thrift store, it gets pretty picked over.
