to a beautiful frame
than to the painting or picture it may contain.Because of this love I have gathered
several gorgeous frames over the years. All were acquired from thrift stores. Most cost less than five dollars.I have painted some. Many have their original finish. Some have intricate details.Others are plain.Yes, I am smitten by a pretty frame. So it's not surprising
that I would gather many together
to decorate the mantle shelf in our dining area.(I tucked a line of Christmas lights behind so there is a lovely warm glow at night.)

Love the empty frames. I too have several in my house.
LOVE your frames! I am into frames right now, too. I wish I had a mantel to display them on.

Love it! I had a wonderful collection of frames (with mirrors) that I had collected for many years. One day I lost it and gave half of them away so that new homes could enjoy them. How I miss them so and especially after seeing this post ;) Thanks for sharing and hugs from conroe, tx!
I love this idea! My mantel is empty right now. This would be SO cute!
Thanks

Very nice look!! I've got quite a few too.
I look forward to your blog, especially on Mondays. It is like visiting with a friend who builds you up. I love your empty frames. I would love some but I would use them for some of my oil paintings which are not framed due to cost. Oh if only we had a thrift store nearby.
lovely!

I just love the way a collection of frames without anything in them looks! I have a bunch hanging over my couch. Every time I have a new visitor the inevitably ask what I'm going to put in them:)
Ohh, I like the idea of putting a string of lights behind the frames on the mantel. I do believe I'm going to have to borrow that clever idea of yours!:)
so pretty!!!
