I love the feeling of being home! I truly enjoy being surrounded by the people I love and the things that make me happy. I am passionate about finding joy in my home---which for me has a double meaning. My home is where I find comfort and discover who I am by using my talents and abilities.
I'm an avid thrift store shopper and collector. I love to create, re-purpose, design, re-invent and build all sorts of things.
I am passionate about helping others find the joy in their homes that I do in mine. And I believe that it doesn't take a lot of cash to do it.

Simple Joys...those glimpses of life that we should take time embrace, the reminders that it's the small and simple things that make life beautiful. There are some simple joys that just happen, others we create. Take for instance my make-up bag. It's pretty enough, as well as convenient. But I have a confession, it often sits on my bathroom counter because I'm (gasp!) too lazy to put it away. One day it occurred to me that I could either put the thing away OR I could put my make-up in something pretty that I wouldn't mind leaving out. I chose the second solution and dumped everything into a shiny silver bowl. It's not much bigger than the bag so when I do put things away it takes up about the same amount of space. And if I need my make-up to go it only takes a few seconds to dump it back into the bag.

What a great idea! We love simple joys.
Donna
such a great idea! I have a bad habit of leaving it all out anyway. Maybe a covered jar or tureen would work well for me.
That's a great solution, Joy!
Love it! I put all my stuff in a silver basket. It's perfect! But.... sadly my counter is still a mess!
Thanks for the idea! Now to keep the granddaughters out! May have to put a bowl out for them with their very own beautiful supplies!
