You likely would have smiled when you saw me proudly carry
the large bowling trophy through the thrift store.
You would have wondered if I wanted it as a gag gift,
or maybe an accessory in a boy's room.
Perhaps you thought that I would enjoy installing
the handsome brass man as a hood ornament on my car.
Or possibly you had the same vision
and were envious that one dollar would buy
a beautiful brass loving cup.
A perfect addition to my small collection.
And of course the bottom of the trophy will make
an awesome flag stand for the fourth of July.

It looks so pretty, although the hood ornament is not bad :). Maybe a Christmas ornament for the bowler in your life? I love the look of old brass!
Hi Joy, Great find! I found a bowling trophy recently and quickly stripped off all the little bowlers from the top. Love your collection.
